Since 2007, the Portsmouth Area Ladies (PALs) have contributed $205,636 to the community, supporting projects including over $27,000 for the Pals Scholarship Fund (held at Scioto Foundation), over $16,000 to various projects of the Friends of Greenlawn Cemetery Foundation, $10,000 to the SOMC Hospice expansion project, $10,000 to TCC Marsh House, $5,000 to Connex Project ROMP, $5,000 to the City of Portsmouth for the "Welcome to Portsmouth" floodwall mural, $5,000 to the SSU Development Foundation Theatre Department's 'Make Tomorrow’s Stars Program,' among many others.
In recognition of these contributions, the Scioto County Commissioners issued a proclamation honoring PALs' achievements. Commissioner Bryan Davis attended the PALs board meeting to present the proclamation. We would like to extend our thanks to him, as well as to Commissioners Coleman and Powell for acknowledging the positive impact of the PALs organization.

2024 Pals Purse Bingo a Success!

The 2024 PALS Purse Bingo was a great success! Over two hundred and fifty people bought tickets and had a great time playing bingo, winning designer purses, eating hot dogs with homemade sauce and sloppy joes as well as popcorn and candies from Jets. In addition, attendees participated in a split the pot resulting in a $640 prize and a Money Purse raffle.  Our winner won a designer purse basket and $500 cash.  Thanks to our PALS members for donating their time, purses and door prizes for this event.  Its great to be a member of PALS!

Thanks from the Trillium Project

In 2023, PALS donated $3,000 for a Sidewalk Art Project. This group of talented creatives focuses on bringing art and culture opportunities to Appalachia, driving economic and community development with public art. Keep up the great work! A picture was taken recently with the group and President Tami Davis and member Shelby Powell.
