Next PALS Grants Deadline - August 20, 2026

If your organization is a 501c3 charitable organization, consider applying for a grant.  We look forward to sharing with the community the proceeds of our Reverse Raffle and Purse Bingo events.  Please read the guidelines for grants on this website and see if your organization qualifies.  While most grants are around $500, exceptions are made for one time projects meeting community needs.

Pals Donations to the Community Reach $243,023
With the completion of our Christmas project and other recent donations, PALS has now given $243,023 back to the community since 2007.  In addition to the generosity of our members who donate purses and gift cards for fundraisers, many thanks go to the community for supporting our 2 fundraisers each year which allows PALS to give it back to the Portsmouth community for creative and much needed projects.  For a complete list of all donations since 2007 click here.


Pals 2026 Scholarship Recipient Announced!



The person chosen to receive our Pals Scholarship this year is Alayna Bazler. Alayna is a Junior at Shawnee State University majoring in Science. She attended Northwest High School. While our goal each year is to offer a $1,500 scholarship, the actual amount of the scholarship given this year is $1,829.


Pals 2025 Christmas Outreach Project

Each year Pals chooses a project in which Pals members donate items or cash to a worthy project.  No fundraiser dollars are used.  In 2025 we worked with the Salvation Army to provide items for the Christmas Store. 





 

           
       


 




    
 







 

  





 

 
 
   


Mark your calendars!  Our next Pals Purse Bingo is scheduled for September 27, 2026. Our last event was a sellout and great fun at our new location at The Venue at the Scioto County Fairgrounds.  PALS members donate 15 designer bags as prizes and door prizes.  A Money Purse Raffle will also be held with a bag full of goodies and $500 cash.  Thanks for helping us make money to give back to our community.  Tickets are now available from Pals members and at the Welcome Center and Morgan Bros Jewelers.




Money Purse Raffle tickets are also available in advance of the Purse Bingo event and on September 27th.  The retail value of the prize is $1,220 which includes the weekended bag, the contents and $500 in cash.  Tickets can be gotten from any Pals member.
